ITLS uses several different methods to provide extensive conventional chemical composition analysis, in addition to forensic science support. We analyze a wide variety of material types, including carbon/low alloy steel, stainless steel, nickel alloys, copper alloys, tin/lead/cobalt base, aluminum, polymers, and detrimental materials.
ITLS also handles material identification of unknown samples as small as a bit of debris, up to large specimens which can be machined down to size in our in-house machine shop. Typical chemical analysis samples can include tubes, bolts, rods, sheet, wires, plates, powders, and many more.
